The annual St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Lenten fish fry will be held every Friday during Lent. The fish fries will take place at the Hillsboro VFW at 1000 West Main St., Hillsboro.

The fish fries will begin Feb. 28 and will continue each Friday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. through April 3.

The events will include dine-in, carryout and drive-through service. Fish and shrimp dinners featuring fresh-cut french fries, macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, coleslaw, soft drinks and homemade pies and desserts. For more updates, follow “St Mary Hillsboro KofC Council 10149” on Facebook.

Fish dinner $7.50; fish and chips $6.25; fish sandwich $5.25; grilled cheese sandwich $2; cheese pizza slice $1.50 / whole $8. Kids meal: fish or grilled cheese $3.25. Sides: french fries regular or seasoned, green beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, baked potato, soup, toss salad.

The annual fish fry will take place on March 6, 13, 20, 27, & April 3rd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Christian Moerlein Malt House Taproom at 1621 Moore Street in OTR. Plenty of parking in the lot next to Moerlein and across the street.  facebook.com/SFSChurch.

You can dine-in or carry-out. Basic dinners include of an entree of fried or baked fish or shrimp, with french fries and the choice of a tasty side dish and beverage. A chicken tenders dinner with french fries and beverage is also available. Basic dinners range from $5.00 to $8.50. You can also choose from the variety of sides to add to your dinner, at a modest additional cost. Diners can also get just a fish sandwich. Delicious desserts, many of which are home-made, will also be available. Soft drinks and bar drinks will also be available for purchase.
